Fall 11 Shows Disaster

Am I being just fazed out, or too long in the fashion industry...New York shows were so flat ! Other than the usual team of Philip Lim, Proenza Schouler, A. Wang, Band of Outsiders, the only big surprise to me was the DKNY show, which I feel has stepped up to a cooler, younger image, with a mix of graphic bold contrasts, which catches your eye, and stays effortlessly wearable... even MJ was no surprise. (no, not Michael Jackson, Marc Jacobs!) (Ralph Lauren although not my cup of tea, I have to say is always irreproachable, sophisticated, and right. I am not sure who the designer there is, if anyone knows...)

As for London, a mish-mosh of everything, every trend of color, leopard, and nothing I can really remember so far...except maybe Clements Ribeiro, but I probably need to take a look again...hopefully the best is yet to come.

Am I being a shovinist? I just can't wait for the Paris shows...but I guess that would be too easy as most of our inhouse designers are not French, but I think we've just collected all the biggest talents out there today.
